About

Casey Crabtree, Father and Leader

Casey Crabtree is a lifelong South Dakotan, a product of small-town values, hard work, and faith. Born in Lake Preston and raised in Arlington, Casey grew up learning the value of grit and community alongside his father on communication line crews and his mother, who ran an in-home daycare. From sports fields to trenches, he learned early on that leadership means putting in the work and investing in others .

After graduating from Northern State University with a business degree and playing football for the Wolves, Casey married his high school sweetheart, Ashley. Together, they built a life rooted in small-town values, raising their two boys, Casyn and Callan, in Madison, what Casey proudly calls “America’s Hometown.” The couple also launched the Madison Vision Clinic, now a thriving rural healthcare resource that serves families across the region.

Conservative Leadership That Delivers

Casey’s professional career spans sales, small business ownership, and economic development. As Director of Economic Development at Heartland Energy, he helped generate over 2,000 new jobs in rural communities across the Midwest.
Casey entered public service in 2020 when Governor Kristi Noem appointed him to the South Dakota State Senate. He quickly earned the trust of his colleagues, rising to become Senate Majority Leader. In that role, he’s delivered real results for South Dakotans: leading on election integrity, tax cuts, energy development, and conservative reforms that have shaped the state’s future.

Casey’s leadership in the State Senate has been marked by action, not rhetoric. As Majority Leader, he’s helped pass landmark legislation to secure elections, lower taxes, and defend conservative values—all while building consensus across a diverse caucus. Whether it’s championing South Dakota’s biofuels industry, standing up for property rights, or protecting our freedoms, Casey has never wavered in doing what’s right for the people he serves.

Ready to Serve South Dakotans in Washington

Casey brings a pragmatic, principled approach to public service. He’s known for building coalitions while holding firm to conservative values. Casey was appointed to the Legislature by Kristi Noem in 2020 to help advance conservative wins, and he delivered on that promise.

Now, Casey is ready to take that same energy, experience, and commitment to Washington. After encouragement from state leaders, prayerful thought, and heartfelt conversations with his family, Casey announced his candidacy for South Dakota’s at-large seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Rooted in faith, family, and service, Casey understands that leadership means more than titles. It’s about showing up. Whether that’s in the halls of the Capitol, on the field coaching his sons, or at community events across the state. As South Dakota’s next voice in Congress, he’ll bring that same integrity, energy, and commitment to delivering results for every South Dakotan.

Casey is ready to work with President Trump to advance the America First agenda and ensure that South Dakota’s values are not just heard, but lead, on the national stage.

“I'm ready to fight for South Dakota in Congress. My parents taught me to work hard and help your neighbors. In Congress, I'll bring energy and grit to making sure South Dakota's lone voice in Congress is chalking up conservative wins for our state.”
